Day 7: Seeking His Face Over His Hand
Scripture: “Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore!” — Psalm 105:4
Reflection: Often, we come to God seeking something from His hand—answers, provision, or guidance. While He does provide for us, He desires us to seek His face above all else, focusing on knowing Him intimately rather than simply seeking what He can give us. This shift from seeking gifts to seeking the Giver transforms our relationship with God and leads to deeper fellowship with Him.
When we seek God’s face, our desires align with His, and our hearts are renewed in His presence. True intimacy is found in wanting God for who He is rather than what He can do for us. In this way, our faith becomes rooted in a genuine love and appreciation for Him, allowing us to walk in peace and contentment, no matter our circumstances.
God delights in blessing His children, but His greatest desire is for us to know and love Him deeply. By prioritizing His presence over His provision, we open ourselves to a relationship where His Spirit fills us with strength, joy, and peace that transcend any material need.
Prayer: Father, help me to seek Your face above all else, valuing Your presence more than any blessing. Amen.
