Fresh Oil Devotional, Day 9: Understanding Your Reborn Spirit

Day 9: Understanding Your Reborn Spirit

Scripture: I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” — Ezekiel 36:26

Reflection: When we are born again, we receive a new spirit, one that is sensitive to God and open to His leading. This transformation replaces our hardened heart with one that can hear and respond to the voice of God. This reborn spirit allows us to connect with God on a deeper level, making intimacy with Him a natural and ongoing experience.

This new spirit within us is the foundation for a life led by God. It opens us to His guidance, renews our minds, and enables us to experience true fellowship with Him. The more we understand our reborn spirit, the more we can walk in confidence, knowing that we are empowered to live a life that reflects His love, joy, and peace.

Embracing our new nature in Christ means living in the freedom and grace of a heart renewed by the Spirit. Each day we grow in our awareness of this new identity, stepping into the fullness of who we are in God and leaving behind the limitations of our old self.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me embrace my reborn spirit, living each day with a heart that is sensitive to You. Amen.
