YOU ARE CALLED TO BE DIFFERENT

A daily devotional moment by Chris Garcia

The Church is like a prism that will take one bright light source and disperse it into a rainbow spectrum of different colors. There is a reason why in the throne room of heaven, there is a rainbow over the throne of God. Because God is Light and in Him there is no darkness, and in that light, there is a divine light. A radiance radiating different colors. That is to say, we have been baptized into one Holy Spirit but every one of us reflects Him in a different light. It’s the same Spirit, the same Jesus, but through our beings, personalities, and gifting, we reflect Jesus in different ways. So we reflect Christ, together making up a portrait of Jesus Himself. You are not just here to worship by yourself. You are here to join brothers and sisters in that same expression of Jesus, and we are all different in different, gifting, callings, and anointings but no one is lesser or greater than one another. Together we weave a beautiful tapestry, weaving the image of Christ on earth. Satan would see to it that you would get to a place of division, where you would begin to look at others as separate and separated individuals. When in reality we all need the Body to accomplish the work on the earth. The scripture tells us that by this all men will know that the Father has sent Me, that we shall love one another. The true reflection of the true witness of the Gospel is loving one another, yet that is the very thing many believers struggle with.
