He Yearns for You

Have you ever considered how deeply God desires you? Not in some abstract, far-off way—but personally, passionately, and powerfully?
There’s a line in Scripture that says, “Whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” That’s strong language, but it’s not meant to shame you. It’s a wake-up call to remember who we belong to. For those of us who follow Jesus, we must remember: the Spirit of God dwells in us. And not passively—He yearns for us.
That word—yearns—it’s not casual. It’s the cry of someone who’s in love.
Scripture says the Spirit yearns jealously. That means God is not indifferent when our hearts drift. Like a faithful husband aching over betrayal, the Holy Spirit aches when we give ourselves to pride, to the world, or to the flesh.
Why? Because your life isn’t your own anymore. You were bought with a price. God didn’t just save you—He claimed you. And not as a slave, but as a beloved son or daughter. When we walk away from His Spirit—when we ignore the fruits of love, peace, patience, and humility—His heart aches for us to come back.
But here’s the beautiful part: He gives more grace. More grace! God resists the proud, yes—but He pours out grace on the humble. When we lower ourselves, when we come back with open hands and a tender heart, He meets us with unrelenting mercy.
Do you want more grace? Do you want to live a life where your desires align with His, where your thoughts are soaked in His presence, where oneness with God is not just a concept, but a reality? It all begins with humility.
Let Him yearn for you no longer—turn to Him today. There’s more grace waiting.
