A daily devotional moment by Chris Garcia
Romans 12:1–2 (NKJV): I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is, that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
ROMANS 12:1-2 talks about you presenting your body as a living sacrifice. Which is a holy and reasonable act of worship. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is a good and acceptable perfect will of God. The perfect will of God is found in you laying your life down for Him and you, allowing the Sanctifier to renew your mind, and in this allowing, is where you will find the perfect will of God. God is more desiring that you are in His perfect will. This is not always tied to geographical locations. It is tied to your posture before His presence. In that place, as you surrender and worship, present your body as a living sacrifice. Holy and acceptable. That is fellowship. That is intimacy with God. That is laying your life at the altar and allowing the Spirit of God to sanctify you and renew you through the reading of the Scripture and through fellowship with Him. Through His working presence within you. There is where you will find the perfect will of God. So the will of God is tied to your willingness and the surrendering of your heart posture to Him and then living in that place. Everything you would do from that place would be His will because now your will is no longer yours but His as well.
