Please join us in prayer for Libya and Morocco as they go through great suffering due to natural disasters. Please take time out of your day to pray for them and every life affected during this difficult time.
While you pray, remember the glory that is to come:
"18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 23 And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body."
- Romans 8:18-23 from the New American Standard Bible (NASB)

The Bible provides guidance and comfort for those of us seeking to overcome suffering. Here are some key biblical principles:
1. Trust in God's Plan: The Bible teaches that suffering is a part of the human experience, but God has a purpose even in our trials. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. By acknowledging God's sovereignty and wisdom, we can find strength to endure suffering.
2. Seek Comfort in Prayer: Philippians 4:6-7 advises us to pray and present our requests to God with thanksgiving. Through prayer, we can find solace and share our burdens with the Lord, knowing that He cares for us.
3. Find Strength in Scripture: The Bible is filled with verses that offer comfort and hope during difficult times. Psalm 34:18 reminds us that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Reading and meditating on such passages can provide strength and perspective.
4. Lean on Christian Community: Galatians 6:2 encourages believers to bear one another's burdens. Sharing our struggles with fellow Christians can provide emotional support, encouragement, and a sense of belonging.
5. Focus on Eternal Hope: Romans 8:18 reminds us that our present suffering is not worth comparing to the glory that will be revealed in us. The Bible emphasizes the hope of eternal life and the promise of a future free from suffering for those who believe.
6. Serve Others: Acts of kindness and service to others can bring a sense of purpose and fulfillment even in the midst of suffering. 2 Corinthians 1:4 speaks of God comforting us in our troubles so that we can comfort others.
7. Forgiveness and Love: Jesus taught the importance of forgiveness and love, even toward those who have caused us suffering. Matthew 6:14-15 emphasizes that if we forgive others, God will also forgive us, and this can lead to healing and reconciliation.
In summary, the Bible encourages us to trust in God, seek His comfort through prayer and Scripture, lean on the support of our community of believers, focus on eternal hope, serve others, and practice forgiveness and love as ways to overcome suffering and find peace and healing.
