You Are a Priest

There’s something so powerful in this truth: you are a priest unto God.
I remember when this reality first hit me—it wasn’t just about being forgiven. It was about being transformed. Hebrews 13:15 urges us, “Let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” Why? Because we belong to a royal priesthood.
In Revelation 1:5-6, it says that Jesus “loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father.” That’s more than forgiveness—that’s identity. Through His blood, we’re not only made clean… we’re made royal.
Priests minister to God. They offer sacrifices. Today, we don’t bring burnt offerings—we bring the sacrifice of praise. We consume what Christ has done for us, and we respond with thanksgiving, adoration, and worship. And this isn’t something we do once in a while—Scripture calls us to do it continually.
This is who you are. Not someday, but right now. Through Jesus, you’ve been made a priest. You’ve been given access, authority, and identity in the presence of God.
So today, wherever you are—offer Him praise. It’s not always convenient. That’s why it’s called a sacrifice. But it’s beautiful. It’s powerful. And it’s yours to give.
