ARE YOU CLAIMING YOUR KINGDOM AUTHORITY?

A daily devotional moment by Chris Garcia

Colossians 1:9–14 (NKJV): For this reason, we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;  strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.  He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,  in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For by Him, all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.  And He is before all things, and in Him, all things consist.  And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

You should strive to use your Kingdom authority over all your trials and challenges. You should begin to speak life over your situation and your family. Some are magnifying so much of what your family has been through or where you came from. Concerned with generational concerns because someone in your family is into witchcraft or new age beliefs. You should know that one person who is in the light of the Gospel in the family can undo thousands of wicked generations. So I want you to begin to take your authority over your life. Over every generational bondage. Over what the Lord is leading you to break. Colossians 1:12 says, “Giving thanks to the Father Who has qualified us to be the partners of the inheritance of the saints in the light.” We are now qualified. It has nothing to do with how much we know but with Whom we know and the scripture says this, "He has (past tense) delivered us from the power of darkness" and conveyed us or translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love. Not only has He delivered you from the darkness, but now He has delivered you into the Deliverer. You have now switched places. You were once in darkness but now you are in the light of the Lord. Now you are in the Kingdom of the Son of His love in whom we have redemption through His blood. The forgiveness of sins.

Now scripture goes on to say, “He is the image of the invisible God, (Jesus) the firstborn over all creation. For by Him, all things were created.” Everything that was made and things that are on the earth, visible, invisible whether thrown or dominions or principalities, or powers. It says and “All things were created through Him and for Him and He is before all things, and in Him, all things consist. “He is the head of the body, the Church.” Who is the Church? The body of Christ. Who is the beginning? "The firstborn of the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.” So I want you all to take your Kingdom authority. Many tend to cry out I need this, or I need that. You must take your Kingdom authority. That is why you are feeling stuck in the same hamster wheel repeating old issues. You need your authority. You need to be renewed in the Spirit of your mind and see the rights that have already been given to you. You need to see the contract that was dipped in Blood, the Blood of Christ. You are made one with Jesus Christ, who is the Head. How do we take our authority? By coming into Him. By exhaling His Name and praying out from that place of victory. So instead of seeing it as, “Oh I am struggling.” "No, I take authority over the struggle right now." "I release the authority of Heaven." My God is so much bigger than what I am feeling and going through at this moment.
